You found me — traveler, storyteller, photographer, old soul, and everyday romanticizer of life.
I’m Nma Okafor, and while today you’ll catch me wandering through distant countries, it wasn’t always this way. Until I was 23, I had never left my home country. I longed for the world I’d only known in books, spending years daydreaming of faraway places, and when I finally saved enough for my first trip to Dubai, you won’t believe what happened…
I was scammed by a travel agent while applying for a visa, my savings slipping through my fingers. But instead of giving up, I turned that setback into the push I needed to learn everything I could about travel.
Since then, travel has:
- Opened my worldview 🌍
- Built my confidence 💪
- Shown me that anything is possible if I’m motivated enough.
- Reminded me that there’s always a place for me in this world.
- Connected me with strangers (now friends) across the internet.
- Reminded me that joy multiplies when you share it.
Now I share my travel tips, hidden gems, and photography advice so that others (especially those who dream of exploring but don’t always feel it’s possible) can step into that same sense of wonder and belonging. I want you to know that the life of your dreams is possible, whether it’s traveling the world, moving to a new country, or finding independence for the first time.
🌷On a Personal Note
These days, I call the Netherlands home (I moved here in 2022), where I balance life as a software engineer by day and a storyteller at heart. I often travel with my partner K, my favourite adventure buddy, unofficial photographer, and sounding board. He makes sure I don’t trip when I’m caught up in the moment with my camera.
